Bert Urselman (1953) was born and raised in the southern part of the Netherlands. After high school he was quick to serve his country at the Royal Dutch Airforce, after which he started his career as an Assistant Manager at a shipping department. After several years as Chief of Expeditions, he became responsible for the operations at a production company.
During the evening hours he started to broaden his knowledge by first completing Vocational and Bachelor Courses in Logistics followed by a study at the University of Utrecht ending with a Masters degree in Dutch Law. His specialties were aimed at Management and Organization and his Law courses were aimed at Business and Transportation Law. After having lead several big and diverse operations, he decided to start as an independent manager/consultant in 1997.
During his first big interim job, which was during the hype of the late 90’s, he was as Director International Production and Distribution responsible for the Pokémon operation outside of the USA. After that he had final responsibility for a hi-tech electronics enterprise, a company in motorcycle clothing and accessories and as a senior executive at a transportation company that underwent a merger. Lately he has been active for among others the ANWB (largest Dutch roadside assistance company), metal and furnishing sectors, wholesaler in shoes and recently he was involved as an interim manager/consultant at major logistical operations in both Amsterdam and Volvo Gent (B).
